Yoko Ono recently commented that there is a stash of songs that John Lennon wrote that have not yet been recorded. It's too bad there's no stash of recorded songs. I wonder if maybe one of his boys (Julian or Sean) could have a go at them. Not sure if I'd want Yoko herself to do the singing, but maybe that's just me...

My friend David is trying article writing as a way to generate traffic to his websites. I'm not exactly sure what the theory is behind it, but he claims that if he can get enough people to view his articles, it will make his articles popular enough for more people to want to see them, and because he has a link at the bottom of all of his articles that points to his website, he thinks it will generate traffic and subsequently create sales. I'm not sure myself, so I'm going to wait it out and see if it works for him. If it does, I'll certainly give it a try.

I'm back from Vegas. I can honestly say that I had a miserable time there. I thought it was going to be great fun, but the first problem was, I got sick. Then, I could not click well with the roulette wheel. I played a little blackjack, but I am too unfamiliar with that game. Then, I thought about maybe playing some Texas Hold 'Em, but the tables were always too crowded. The room was nice, but I saw too much of the room during my stay. Oh, well. Don't feel like doing that again for quite some time.

How's this for an idea: Browse a new cookbook each and every week of the year. That's 52 cookbooks in total. And at less than $1 per cookbook, it's a great bargain. I love to cook myself, but I never have time because I'm too busy watching TV. So, I used to wait until my roommate did some culinary preparation and hoped that she would offer me some. Now that I live alone, I've got to start doing something better than eating out or surviving on frozen dinners. I'm taking the plunge with My Cookbook Stand. I've got a stoner friend. Yeah, he's always high on grass. He's a really sweet guy I met in college, but he never quite grew up. He's always looking for his next high and simply will not move on with his life. Yeah, he has a job, but it's just about minimum wage, and he spends most of his money on pot. You know the type. My friend just bought an iPad. Now she wants to write apps for it. Huh? OK, she's a smart girl. Majored in physics or something heady like that, so I know she can do it. My question though is why? She said it would be challenging. OK, I can see that. It would be a beyond my wildest dreams challenge for me to even think about it. I took a programming class back in my early college days. I think it was C or some other letter of the alphabet. Needless to say, I didn't do very well in the class. I could never figure out the exact way to use those brackets, semi-colons, parentheses, etc. And my programs never worked. She says I could use something like Creating iPad Apps which makes the whole process dirt simple. I told her, I don't even have an iPad. And she asked, why not? Hmm, maybe because I'm not dirt simple, but I'm dirt poor.

I have an older friend. She's really great, but she's always concerned about her looks. If you ask me, she looks great, and I hope I look that good when I reach her age. Right now, she's 43 and feeling like she's going on 90. Her main problem is, she thinks her face makes her look really old. Yeah, she has wrinkles and whatnot, but that's natural, isn't it? She also has what she says is a flabby chin and neckline. OK. She asked me to look around to see what kinds of things I could find that might help her. I recommended a psychologist. According to this news article, Jennifer Lopez is going to get $12 million to be a judge on American Idol's 12th season. And guess what? She actually wanted more money! She wanted $15 million! I guess she would have to sacrifice herself to the great cause of finding other talent instead of being the talent in the latest movie. I don't get it. Just give me part of that bankroll, and I'll be happy!

When you're tired, your body really wants to sleep. Know what? That's almost always a good thing. I recommend sleep over any of those stimulants such as coffee, energy drinks, or even chocolate chip cookies. Nothing better than getting some good rest and lots of it, if you ask me!

I'm currently single, and you know what? I think I'll stay this way for a while. It's fun not having to deal with someone and their odd quirks. Maybe I'm just gunshy after my last relationship. He really wasn't all that bad, but I definitely needed a break from him. So, it was a mutual cut-off. At least until he started calling me non-stop, and I had to almost threaten him with a restraining order. But that's another story.
